What I was doing ten years ago: 1995. I went back to work after my daughter started kindergarten, which was a blessing. (the staying home part) It felt good to feel valuable and needed at middle age.
5 years ago: 2000. Still with JCrew. Supervisor, then ran the nerve center of the building or Work Flow--the hub. What stands out the most? 401K It has been veddy veddy VEDDY good to me.
1 year ago: 2004. Past year I've been a worry wart. Worrying about Skyler just being a teenager. Worrying about hubby with his diabetes and HepC. Worrying about my sister, Robin, and her failing liver and my aging Mother.
Yesterday: Yesterday I saw a doctor who referred me for a mammogram. There's a lump or a knot that needs looking into that I'm a little nervous about.

1. Bob Dylan
2. Pink Floyd
3. Led Zeppelin
4. Rolling Stones
5. Beatles
"So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange
a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?"
~Pink Floyd "Wish you were here"
And...
Ah get born, keep warm
Short pants, romance, learn to dance
Get dressed, get blessed
Try to be a success
Please her, please him, buy gifts
Don't steal, don't lift
Twenty years of schoolin'
And they put you on the day shift
Look out kid
They keep it all hid
Better jump down a manhole
Light yourself a candle
Don't wear sandals
Try to avoid the scandals
Don't wanna be a bum
You better chew gum
The pump don't work
'Cause the vandals took the handles
~Dylan's Subterranean Homesick Blues

thank you for playing, Susan, and for sharing more of yourself.
Thoughts and prayers for your mammogram to go well. Breasts. Such delicate things.
{{{hugs}}}
Sheryl: I'm glad you stopped by. I was thrown a bit by the use of the word "never". I MAY wear a girdle some day. Thanks for the well wishes. It really means a lot.
Shirl: It's not so hard to share when you do it this way. Your kind words have helped me through so many hard times. I can always depend on you to lift me up.
Thanks again, ladies. xoxo
