I just went to let my dog out and saw him following something furry. On closer examination I saw it was a SKUNK!
Poor old Buddy is almost blind but he was able to follow it cautiously and was trying to close in on it about the time I realized it was a skunk. I was trying to call him back because I knew it would spray him.
He came back inside and left the skunk to mosey on over to the neighbor's yard. The skunk's stink safely intact. Whew! That was a close one!
