10 Things That Make Me Happy

1. Seeing my daughter walk through the door. At 17, she's often gone more than she's home.
2. Going out with the girls or a friend enjoying each other's company. Either going to flea markets, out for coffee, or just visiting.
3. When my dog, Buddy, comes over to be scratched behind the ears and then smiles at me.
4. When my sister says she's having a good day
5. A phone call from my 83 year old Mother
6. Fresh, clean, fragrant sheets from the dryer
7. Saying grace together with my family
8. Counting my blessings
9. Hearing my husband pull into the drive. Since the time we were dating, I sitll get a churning in my tummy when he comes home from wherever.
10. And last, but not least...my relationship with my blogging friends, who are appropriately 10's. When I'm having a bad day and want to shut the doors and ignore the world, I can always count on you to know when I need that special word or support or encouragement. Many of you I've now known for years and consider you part of my sanity, and a part of my family, especially the SusanJayne visitors. xoxo

Now, invite six others to do the 10 things.....hmmmmm, well.....jump in there and don't be shy. I guess we've just about gotten everyone.

via Shirl, a definite 10.

oh thanks for playing, Susan!!! I love your list!!

It is wonderful how blog people can capture our hearts and friendships. Thank you for being such a good friend.

I was the anonymous commenter on your post about Robin's cancer. (at work, sigh) I am so sorry for this latest health issue for your dear sister. {{{hugs}}}

Thank you, Shirl. I can talk about these kinds of things so readily to you and my blogbuddies, and everyone who knows me irl knows me to be quiet about this kind of thing. So the internet has been so helpful for me to get things off my chest.

Robin had had these large masses around her liver. Well, she went for a liver biopsy and they couldn't find her liver. Couldn't find her liver. She came from that procedure with three holes where they explored trying to examine her liver and couldn't get to it for those masses. That's when they referred her to Vanderbilt University in Nashville. They were able to check her somehow and determined that those masses were cancerous. She's lost about 30 lbs this summer and knew something was wrong. So, now the chemo is ordered and we prayerfully wait for results. All her life she's had the weirdest health problems and always gets over them, so I'm counting on the cancer to be another strange thing she'll conquer. Thanks for being here. xoxo

{{{hugs}}} to you, Susan. It is interesting how the internet allows us to add dimensions to our lives. I totally get your irl reaction, and I'm so glad you do have this outlet to express yourself.

That is amazing on Robin, that they couldn't FIND the liver. Yikes! That would scare me to death, and yet, as you say, Robin is not only a survivor, but a thriver. Holding you both close in thoughts and prayers. Your sisterly love has been such a beautiful thing to witness.

Jon, I'm sorry but I don't understand what posts you're talking about. And I don't think I've ever talked about prostrate cancer before, or know anyone who has it.

Hey, you have a great blog here! I'm definitely going to bookmark you!

I have a endometrial cancer site. It pretty much covers endometrial cancer related stuff.

Come and check it out if you get time :-)
