Does anyone eat at their desk while they're at work or at home? I may be the only slob who does that. That may explain the crumbs I find in the keyboard.
Inconsequential details: Plates are mine I've had since the early 60s. Glass is from Christmas.
Pink grapefruit, brie on toasted wheat bagel. OJ fresh from the juicer.

I do it all the time. Sparky hates it so I do it when she's not here.
I don't eat breakfast, so I can't say that I do, but I have spilled a beer or two on an innocent keyboard.
