Baby's Moving

Hubby picked up some shrimp and a whole pineapple and we fixed a spinach salad to go with it. After dinner, Skyler's baby boy was moving a lot.

It was the first time I'd seen him move and it was sheer joy. (She is exactly 5 months pregnant today) My husband put his arm around me and we all three watched her belly make these little jabs and moves. One movement would remind one of putting a finger under a blanket and moving it around. Perhaps that was a foot. I'm already undone. I'm completely and utterly in love.

And it's a thrill that puts a continual smile on your face coupled with a sense of calm and peace. The peaceful feeling you might have after meditating is what I can compare impending grandmotherhood to. I've never in my life had a feeling like this that lasted for days and days and days. Ahhhhhhhhhh

You are in for a treat. It's as fun to be a Grandmother as everyone says. My daughter is expecting twins in May (these will be #17 and 18 for us) and we love watching the rumbling going on under the covers!
