Call Centre Confidential caught my eye and I found it well-written, smart and witty. Many people have worked at Call Centers before. I worked at nights as my 2nd job for sometime. The flexibility was quite attractive. But my very first job was at a Kentucky Fried Suicide, er Chicken when in high school.

Until I was fired for eating chicken on the job.

KFC: "Susan, are you aware of our policy about not eating chicken on the job?"

Me: "Yes, sir. I most certainly am."

KFC: "Your bulging pockets are greasy and my instinct tells me that you are holding."

Me: "Holding... sir?"

KFC: "Holding said chicken upon your person. To wit: Two KFC Original Recipe chicken legs peaking out of your KFC apron pocket."

Me: Glancing down at my chicken-filled KFC apron pockets sheepishly. Busted. Big as hell.

KFC: "And, Susan...?"

Me: "I'll be clearing out my locker, sir."

Did you have a nice first job? Or do you still have nightmares about it? heh heh...

{today's inspiration}
"I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible, to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance; to live so that which comes to me as seed goes to the next as blossom and that which comes to me as blossom, goes on as fruit."
