My male dog and three other male dogs and a female dog in season got in a fight the other night with a little male Yorkie terrier. The Yorkie is 12 years old and very much loved. His owner came by to tell me about the fight after dropping off her dog at the Animal Hospital down the road. I offered my sympathies and to pay some of the expenses. The dog was on IV's and was feeling pretty puny and stayed 3 nights in the hospital.

Today she came back by the house with the Yorkie in her arms. He's healing nicely in the hip area and the throat. She told me that every other pet owner involved had pretty much shut the door in her face. I gave her my fair share and we talked a bit more. I'm so glad that her dog healed nicely. I couldn't imagine not pitching in to help this single mother out with her injured dog.
