I probably should mention a few people who've been extra kind and generous to me lately. I received many wonderful gifts for my birthday and have been waffling over whether to also thank you on my website. I'm not sure of the protocol. Will I embarrass someone? Hopefully, I won't.

I have jewelry boxes full of gold jewelry, but have only worn silver jewelry the past several years now. Most is Celtic designs. I sometimes look at thousands of pieces before settling on a particular one and I found a necklace I just had to have.

Thank you Tish. She got me this necklace that I now wear every day.

And thank you, Shirl. She got me an invaluable gift certificate I'm having great fun deciding on how best to spend.

My sister had asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told her I need another cell phone---my old one was shot. And a new DVD player were both tops on my personal "wish list" and went on to list more inexpensive items. Robin got me the new cell phone. And my friend, Dena, bought me a DVD player. I was surprised at that because I really had answered flippantly when they asked me what I had wanted.

Robin gave me her car when she bought a new one, so we consider that a birthday gift, too. It's a nice little Geo car we're using as our 2nd car and needed it badly as my car died almost a year ago.

I like to think I'm one of the most grateful beings on the planet. But it's the love shown in the giving that I take to the center of my heart as I thank you.
