Amy Winehouse - Then

Look how good she looks in November 2003. Her face is much more fleshed out. She's really pretty here but she doesn't even look like that now. My, oh my, the girl is so very gifted.

WORD OF THE DAY

May 23: staycation
A vacation that is spent at one's home enjoying all that home and one's home environs have to offer.

Yep. I know those vacations well! Everyone meeting together maybe bringing pot luck and just being grateful for our family and friends.

WHEN YOU ARE OLD

When you are old and gray and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

The Baby Whisperer

I was on the phone a moment ago with my grandson and daughter. Phoenix likes to grab the phone and talk jibberish to me. All of a sudden he began to WHISPER to me! Isn't that wild? I've never heard a wee one (8 mos) whisper before. It was so cute.

Then he went back to jabbering again. So adorable.

I've had my fun and learned the ropes with Wordpress and I think I'll just stay here on Blogger. I can't find a layout I like for free and can't modify it there either so I'm back to this website now. Dizzy yet?
