Pet Peeve

Well, one of my pet peeves. I can be so crabby sometimes. Ha! (sometimes?)

You know how you will be attending a meeting, at work or school or any other function, and it's running a little long and there's this one person (sometimes more than one) that wants to ask more and more questions so the original 1 hour meeting ends up running into 2 hours? Everyone's rolling their eyes and gathering their belongings hoping to will the meeting to be over and done with.

You must know what I'm talking about. It's an aggravation I ran across in the brick and mortar job life and I find it even exists in the work at home job life on my conference call meetings.

Okay. I'm all better now.

Word of Advice

My facilitator at work emailed me something about a survey she had sent to me last week.

The email was a survey that said we could do it or not do it. It didn't matter. So I deleted it and went on clearing out my work email.

Anyway, I told her I didn't have it to which she responded---Yes, you do... it's in your Trash folder!!!

Work emails I know are monitored, but I didn't know they were monitored this closely. So beware my friends.

And once when I began a job, they could not WAIT to set up my email account (OE). This was the first time I learned that your job email was being monitored.

By The Time I Get To Phoenix - part deux

I'm dealing with a stomach virus that has plagued me since about 3am this morning and has left me as weak as a kitten. I was going to keep sweet Phoenix for the weekend, but we're postponing that until Monday.

Skyler will pry the little darling from her and let him stay with his Grandmother for a few days. I'm excited about it. A four-month old totally in my care for 3 days and nights.

Hold up. Did I just say "a four month old totally in my care for 3 days and nights?"

YIKES!

If he gets along alright being away from his Mommy, we may do this one weekend out of the month. She may have to pry the little darling from me.

Volunteer State is new capital of men's college basketball

Between the UT and Memphis programs, Tennessee just might be the place to be.

University of Tennessee Vols men's basketball was 12-1 going into last night's game against unbeaten (13-0) Mississippi.

Tyler Smith's layup with 4.2 seconds to play gave No. 8 ranked Tennessee an 85-83 victory over No. 16 ranked Mississippi on Wednesday night.

I'm liking the UT team like I used to like Duke's team. After all, when in Rome (Tennessee)...!

My Minis Arrived!

Jane (fka DivaMaggie) sent me the prize that I won in a drawing she had on her website Rowanista.com.

They are mini knitted magnets of a stocking and a sweater. She is a longtime friend from Canada and a fabulous knitter and has been blogging back and forth with me for five years now. I wish this would have come out better on my little webcam, but I'll try to capture a better photo of it when I get more time because you cannot see the magnificent detail she's put into her work. Mother was impressed with your skills, Jane. She's a knitter from way back and tells me that socks are especially brutal to configure.

Thanks again for the contest. I really like my little minis.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

I really should type something up here in this fine new year of 2008. But I've been so busy. Even right now there are many other things I should be doing. I'm through with my training so I can contract out for a lot of work online now as a home agent. I'll get more into that when I can because for one, I'd love to tell you how YOU can stay home and work from the comfort of your own home office. Nothing in it for me but a pay it forward factor.

I'm taking today off to run errands. I'll work Sat and Sunday. I have to take Mother to the hair salon and get groceries. I bought another printer and it has a scanner. This is printer #4. I had to have it for work. I uploaded 2 photos of Robin on Flickr and believe me when I tell you there are many photos I want to scan and post for you while I have everything working. These 2 happened to be in my reach at the time.

Better slap on some war paint and get moving. I will make some time soon to see what everyone is up to.
