If I had a dollar for every time I saw some nice and well-intentioned guy in the supermarket phoning home for some advice, I'd be one rich mamma.

You can sometimes spot him standing in front of the deli counter with a puzzled look on his face, cell phone glued to his ear, and animatedly explaining how he's lost his grocery list. Again. Or he could be by the canned goods calling home to tell someone, "No, I don't think they carry donuts, dear."

If you come upon this lost creature in the store, you could offer some advise AFTER he's off the phone. But if you see him with a quizzical look at the feminine hygiene products, flip that grocery cart around and slowly back away.

Studio 60 on Sunset Strip is a new NBC television show out Monday. Apparently AOL has an exclusive online premiere now. If you get the chance, take a look. It looks like fun.

I'm sitting here with another one of my famous headaches, drinking coffee, taking advil, and hoping it will soon pass. Thinking about my blogfriends and will visit with you soon.

I've got another sports team to root for now. The UT (University of Tennessee) Volunteers. 2nd game is Saturday night and Mother and I both will enjoy it together. She's a huge sports fan so you see it must be genetic. Ha!

I saw this print on AOL's homepage this morning. It reminds me of a dress I once made. Or, tried to make.

My grandmother made her living sewing and my Mother could whip up anything on the sewing machine. Surely, I could put together a little ol' dress.

It was the summer between high school and college; my first attempt at sewing. I bought some black and white graphic print fabric like this and a nice dress pattern. The fabric was very slinky and kept sliding off the machine when trying to sew. I was having a hard time with the pattern, trying to figure out what went where. I gave it my best and I tried on the dress but I couldn't get the dress over my head. I'd sewn a sleeve onto the neck!

I didn't try to sew again for probably twenty more years. Each time I see a bold black and white print I still cringe.
