I've been tagged by Lynn:

Part II:
Remove the #1 item from the above list, bump everyone up one place and add your blog's name in the #5 spot. You need to actually link to each of the blogs above and below, so everybody gets the benefit of other people checking out their blog.

I think I did this right. I believe most everyone's done this meme. If you stop by and see it, please play along. Think I'll go visit some new folks!
The first part of this meme is to list the 5 things from your childhood that you miss the most. So my 5 things are:
1. Riding horses in the neighborhood and on the golf course--the edge of the course.
2. Dance class and recitals with my sister
3. My rock hard abs on my 14 year old body. The whole package, really. Pre cellulite, pre saggy boobs, etc
4. Playing golf with my Daddy--"Keep your head down, Sudie."
5. Spending time with my cousins, The Bryants. Riding go-carts, going to the lake, wading in the creek, sneeking cigarettes and smoking til we turned green, playing baseball, playing old 45's--Smoke Gets In Your Eyes, I remember was one of the first songs I heard on my cousin Brenda's record player. We worshipped her since she was probably 8 years older than me. It was the capri pants, pointy bra era. Way back. Ok, reel it in, Susan.

Nobody ever tags me for anything. Waaaa. So I'm tagging myself via Shirl's offer.
Number of books I own: Probably around 200.
Last book I bought: Memnoch The Devil - Anne Rice
Last book I read: Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates - Tom Robbins (re-read)
Books that mean a lot to me: I immediately think of Betty Eadie's Embraced By The Light. It got me through a 'rough patch' after my father passed and gave me peace about passing over. Richard Brautigan's Trout-Fishing in America I have in plastic from college dorm days.

Strange, funny email I got this morning!
Killer Biscuit Wanted for Attempted Murder (actual headline)
Lisa Burnett, 23, a resident of San Diego, was visiting her in-laws, and while there went to a nearby supermarket to pick up some groceries. Several people noticed her sitting in her car with the windows rolled up and with her eyes closed, with both hands behind the back of her head. One customer who had been at the store for a while became concerned and walked over to the car. He noticed that Lisa's eyes were now open, and she looked very strange.
He asked her if she was okay and Lisa replied that she'd been shot in the back of the head, and had been holding her brains in for over an hour. The man called the paramedics, who broke into the car because the doors were locked and Lisa refused to remove her hands from her head. When they finally got in, they found that Lisa had a wad of bread dough on the back of her head.
A Pillsbury biscuit canister had exploded from the heat, making a loud noise that sounded like a gunshot, and the wad of dough hit her in the back of her head. When she reached back to find out what it was, she felt the dough and thought it was her brains. She initially passed out, but quickly recovered and tried to hold her brains in for over an hour until someone noticed and came to her aid.
This calls for a big ol' southern-style: Well, bless her heart!

I got an email from Robin saying she'd updated her blog. Shocker! It's been 6 months. But she's been a little puny, so we forgive her!
She's going back in the hospital today for a procedure to test the tumors growing on her liver and midsection. If they are cancerous, she'll begin chemo. I think she needs some kind of treatment. All these years of getting worse and not taking any treatment isn't right.
Keep her in your prayers....
