Messy Kitchen VS Fresh Coffee
Left behind hazelnut coffee beans sprinkle the kitchen counter top. Some even found their way onto the floor and stovetop. A fresh dusting of ground beans also litter the area. And, of course, the bag of beans is left out; not in the freezer for optimum freshness.
But the coffee's now ready for morning consumption. The coffee is hot. The coffee is fresh. It's one euphoric eye-opener when a freshly brewed pot of your favorite coffee made by someone else awaits you. All I have to do is shuffle into the kitchen and indulge myself.
I quietly clean up the spilled grounds, fix myself a cup, and thank him for making the coffee with words and a kiss.
We've been together for a long time. The weekend that sealed the deal, so to speak, before we were married, ended with him fixing breakfast in bed from the barest kitchen I've ever witnessed. It still remains a certified who-dunnit.
Who knows how much time we have left when the health check-ups aren't so routine any more. I should count my blessings. And be thankful. Not just today. But really make a conscious effort to continually be grateful for every single good thing in my life. So starting today, I am grateful for messy kitchens and a loving husband who didn't 'have me at hello'; he had me at 'breakfast is ready'

Interactive Crafting with letterboxing, stamping, scrapbooking, etc, for the crafty side of you. I'm not very crafty. I have spurts of craftiness, but none right now. Although I was an Art Major in High School and in college. But I'm more of an artist. I used to love to draw or paint using charcoal or acrylics, and sculpting. None of my best stuff ever survived, I'm sorry to say. Even though I hate to talk about anything that sounds like I'm bragging, I was damn good. Yeah. If you know anything about me, you know that I'm modest and have trouble telling anyone about any talents I may have. Isn't that silly for an old crone like me? If I was smart, I'd cultivate my artistic ability again, slap it up on Ebay, and watch the money roll in.

I sure need to get myself some new glasses. Reading a book or the newspaper is increasingly harder for me to do. I have some cheap-o's I bought at the drug store, but I need new glasses and frames anyway. But I can't decide what kind of frames I want. No idea what kind I want. Most of my eye trouble is with long distances. I cannot drive a car one block without glasses, whereas I could get by on most everything else without glasses if I had to. And I don't need glasses for the computer. Yet. So, what kind of glasses would look nice for a wise-ass old crone like me?
